“Those lying bastards at Johnson & Johnson”

A fentanyl lawyer I know sent me a link to the following video:

After viewing some of the evidence from fentanyl lawsuits, it seems to me that this video hits the nail right on the head.

Maybe it hits your nail on the head, but not mine. Anyone,Justinian, can dig up a scurrilous anecdote to make a point. That’s called propaganda. Physicians and other could offer you plenty on the other side. A few rogue elements shouldn’t drive the debate. Agree? http://www.MDWhistleblower.blogspot.com

I agree with your overall point. This post is kind of an inside joke among those familiar with Duragesic litigation.
When Duragesic pain patches originally came out, they had a very weak warning label. It said something like, “Don’t use a leaking patch as it might not deliver the right dose of fentanyl.” In actuality, a leaking patch can easily kill you. Years after the product was on the market, J&J finally updated the label to say that touching a leaking patch is extremely dangerous.
J&J also used to manufacture Duragesic in a reservoir design. They admitted during litigation that if their QC systems worked perfectly, there would be 4 defective patches per lot. Each defective patch has the potential to kill someone. Not only was that OK with them, but a memo from their QC department said something like, “4, 5, 6, or 7 – what’s the difference.”
J&J finally dumped the reservoir design and went to a much safer matrix design… but there’s enough damaging information in testimony by J&J employees to call some of them lying bastards.

Justinian: I wish you a permanently agonizing condition. Thanks to land pirates, there will be no Duragesic patch. You will suffer untold torment and wish for death. Try to not age.

I completely agree with @Michael, M.D. I used to believe virtually everything I saw, read, of watched on the Internet :) . I’m starting to come around and see that some people actually do have an agenda and more often than not (surprise, surprise) a completely self-serving agenda. Can’t we all just get along?
