In addition to helping people injured by asbestos, I also help people injured by defective drugs. One of the reasons I got into this field of law is because of the death of my cousin. She received a batch of tainted Heparin when she was a child, and that required her to have a liver transplant. Unfortunately, the liver transplant had problems, and she died in her early twenties. My cousin would still be alive had the drug company had better quality control mechanisms in place in their factory. Sadly, my cousin is just one of many people who are seriously injured or killed every year because certain drug companies care more about making money than helping patients.
Since so much money is at stake in prescription drug lawsuits, it is a very lively area of the law. Pfizer, for example, doesn’t “cheap out” when they get sued. They hire the best defense lawyers money can buy, and my competitive nature means I like going against the best. I blog a fair amount about prescription drugs at this site, but my main drug blog is Dangerous Drugs. Check it out if you’d like to know more about the law of defective drugs.
